Zoo Trip

I feel a little guilty that the summer is about over, the kids are getting ready to go back to school and it seems like we haven't done anything this summer, except go to Washington.

A friend called and said she and some others were going to the zoo, so I decided we could get ready in 4o minutes and go too. The girls had a great time.

All the girls were suppose to get by the gorilla but they kept fighting over who was going to stand where, so it is just Amber now.

I didn't get a good shot of all the girls on the carousel, or any on the train they rode. I was sitting with Amber and Samantha and couldn't take great pictures with out moving away from the little ones.

Lauren rode the polar bear.

The girls LOVED the penguins. They were so fun to watch. They walked around and it was fun to watch them hop up on a high level and they even waddled down to the water and swam. One even jumped in the water. The kids probably would have stayed there longer to watch but I kind of hurried them along.

Emily decided her new favorite animal is the Zebra. You can hardly see them here, but they were right up next to the fence. The zoo people where coming so they must have figured they were going to be fed so they ran off to go see what was going on.

I am not sure what Lauren was doing here.

Lindsey makes all my pictures a little more exciting! She is so funny. The girls liked the giraffes too but only because they had a new baby.

Isn't this just the cutest picture ever? Too bad it wasn't a better picture as far as my picture taking abilities. When our other computer broke, all my photo programs went with it... so I can't edit my pictures. I need to invest in a new software perhaps.

The girls also loved the little tunnels to watch the praire dogs. They were pretty spunky at times running around chasing each other.

Lauren is looking at them in this picture.

Amber liked the play ground best I think.
